Some people assume that being rich is purely about wealth.
They set goals based around money as though it is the only richness that they could achieve within their life.
There are many other ways to be rich.
- If you would like to explore ways in which to enrich your life, then come to an IMPACT Goal setting workshop.

Napoleon Hill, one of the earliest authors of personal development books, most famously Think and Grow Rich, listed “Twelve Great Riches of Life”.He pointed out that that wealth does not appear on the list, except as economic security, which he listed last.
Here is his list:
- Positive mental attitude
- Sound physical health
- Harmony in human relationships
- Freedom from fear
- Hope of achievement
- Capacity for faith
- Willingness to share one’s blessings
- A labour of love
- An open mind on all subjects
- Self-discipline
- The capacity to understand people
- Economic security
Hill wrote his list in 1937 and it is still valid today.
If you want to enrich your life, set goals which integrate with your values rather than focusing on money, because ultimately money has value but is not a value.
Your goals are there to enrich your life and to enrich the lives of others.
Personally, I believe that the highest goals are those that serve or improve the lives of others: where you personally dedicated to a cause that is greater than yourself.
IMPACT goals are about creating an enriching life. If you would like to find out how, join one of our goal-setting courses.
